"The Slow" Alginate
- Mixing Ratio: 1.8L water per 450g powder (Yields approx. 2L mass).
- Water Temperature: 35°C.
- Mixing Phase: 5 min (Light blue to deep purple).
- Working Phase: 2 min (Light purple).
- Setting Time: 3 min (Returns to light blue when set).

Critical Technical Compatibility:
- Single Use: Alginate moulds are disposable and must be cast on the same day as manufacture to ensure dimensional stability.
- ConcreteClay™ Compatibility: If your final cast is intended to be produced in ConcreteClay™, you must use "The Fast" Alginate. Using "The Normal" or "The Slow" variants will cause an adverse chemical reaction with the concrete.
Volume Calculation Method:
- Place the subject in the intended casting vessel.
- Fill the vessel with water to the required coverage height.
- Measure the water volume to establish total displacement.
