Material Properties:

ConcreteClay™ is a pre-mixed concrete compound with a clay-like consistency, designed for professional sculpting, shaping and surface modeling. Simply add water, approximately 1 liter per 5 kg, and the mix is ready for immediate use.

ConcreteClay™ is particularly suited for the creation of aquarium backgrounds, themed sculptures, artificial rocks and detailed decorative surfaces, specially designed for usage in zoological environments, aquariums and other themed attractions. The material cures quickly and is frost-resistant, enabling both indoor and outdoor use in variable climates.

Within 24 hours, ConcreteClay™ reaches the strength of standard concrete, and after 7 days, it achieves up to three times the compressive strength, ensuring exceptional long-term durability. Once cured, it develops a light grey surface suitable for subsequent colouring, texturing or sealing.

Coverage:

A 9 kg bag of MakeMake ConcreteClay™ covers approximately 0.45 m² at 1 cm thickness, depending on application and surface texture.

Description

Working Time:

ConcreteClay™ remains soft and workable for approximately 45 minutes, allowing sufficient time for detailed application and shaping. During the following 8 hours, the material continues to cure gradually, providing an ideal window for carving and refining before full hardening occurs.

Storage:

Store unmixed ConcreteClay™ in a dry, sealed container to preserve its quality and prevent moisture absorption. Proper storage ensures the ConcreteClay™ will maintain its maximum shelf life and keep its consistent performance on future products.

Reinforcement Options:

To increase the tensile strength and durability, fiber reinforcement can be added to the mix. For every 9 kg of ConcreteClay™, approximately 7.5 g of fiber is recommended. This additive enhances resistance and cracking and improves structural integrity. Ideal for large-scale and high-traffic installations.
