Heat-resistant silicone is ideal for producing simple or highly detailed parts that require high-temperature resistance, such as molds for metal alloys with melting points up to 250°C. The silicone can withstand temperatures from -60°C to 250°C.

This silicone is transparent but can be colored using MakeMake silicone pigments. It offers high flexibility and tensile strength while remaining odorless and non-toxic. Its excellent fluidity ensures easy application and demolding. The silicone is highlu durable and weather-resistant. Always wear gloves when handling silicone, as it is sticky and can be difficult to remove.

Heat-resistant silicone for food contact
This liquid, platinum-cured silicone is suitable for casting and mold making and complies with the requirements for materials intended for food contact in accordance with U.S. FDA 21 CFR §177.2600. The material is odorless, tasteless, and suitable for repeated contact with food under normal conditions of use.

Type: Platinum-cure silicone.

Packaging & Mixing:

  • Supplied as a 2 kg kit (1 kg component A + 1 kg component B)
  • Mix 1:1 by weight
  • 1 kg silicone ≈ 0.8 L

Available Hardnesses:

  • Shore 10 (Softest)
  • Shore 20
  • Shore 30
  • Shore 40
  • Shore 50 (Hardest)

Higher Shore values provide greater form stability, while lower Shore values offer more elasticity.

Shelf Life & Storage:

  • Shelf life: 12 months
  • Optimal storage: 5-10C
  • Can be stored at higher temperatures but not recommended above 25C

This heat-resistant silicone is ideal for professional mold-making, casting applications requiring high thermal tolerance, and any project where durability and precision are critical.

Technical Data & Usage:

  • Work time: 20-30 minutes at 25°C
  • Curing time: 4-5 hours at 25°C

Application Notes:

When creating a two-part silicone mold using heat-resistant silicone, apply a thing layer of release agent to the cured first half before puring the second half. This prevents the uncured silicone from sticking into another silicone mold. Always coat the cured surface to ensure clean separation.

Important Notice:

The silicone material is FDA compliant for food contact according to 21 CFR §177.2600. Relevant compliance documentation is retained internally and can be made available to regulatory authorities or during quality audits.
