Products in the packet:
  • 20 x 5 L Liquid Latex 0.2%

Stock status: In stock

This 100 L liquid latex is supplied in manageable 5 L containers for ease of handling. It is ideal for mold making, creating slip-resistant surfaces on slippers, artificial wounds, and other professional applications.

Our latex contains only 0.2% ammonia to minimize odor. While non-hazardous, the ammonia can still irritate airways, so we recommend working in a well-ventilated area. The ammonia also ensures the latex remains liquid and easy to apply.

Storage & Handling:

  • Liquid Latex and latex molds must be protected from sunlight; store in a dark environment.

  • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight when working with latex.

  • Latex is not compatible with oils or Metal PRO pigments.

  • Recommended storage temperature: 10°C–30°C.

This liquid latex provides professional-grade performance for a wide range of applications, combining safety, usability, and high-quality results.

Liquid Latex – Application Guide for Professional Use

Liquid latex can be applied to your model either by brushing with a suitable brush or by dipping the object directly into the latex. For best results, apply multiple thin layers, allowing each layer to fully dry before adding the next. When dried, the latex will turn slightly yellow. Typically, 20–30 layers are recommended depending on the complexity and size of your mold.

To speed up the process, a thickener can be added. After applying the first 5–10 layers of liquid latex, mix in 1–5% thickener depending on the desired viscosity. This allows you to apply thicker layers, but expect longer drying times for latex mixed with thickener. Do not pre-mix large amounts; mix only as needed.

Once your mold has reached the desired thickness and the final layer is dry, it is ready for use. Flexibility can be increased by curing in a tumble dryer or oven at 70°C for 2 hours. Ensure a humid environment: place a damp towel in the dryer or a bowl of water in the oven.

Color Customization:
Latex can be tinted with our pigment colors to achieve custom shades.

Special Applications:
Liquid latex is suitable for creating artificial wounds and special effects on skin. It can be brushed onto the skin or applied via direct dipping.

Shelf Life & Storage:
6 months from the date of purchase when stored correctly. Keep latex in a cool, dark place. Avoid direct sunlight, oil, and is incompatible with our Metal PRO pigments.

Important Notes for Mold Making:

  • Air-drying latex cannot be poured over a model like silicone; for full pour molds, use our Liquid Silicone.

  • Latex molds are not compatible with all casting concretes; some mixtures generate high heat during curing, which may cause the latex mold to stick.

This guide ensures optimal results for professional mold-making and artistic applications using liquid latex.
