Body Silicone is ideal for creating silicone castings, especially lifecasting and other objects that come into contact with the skin. This high-quality, platinum-cure silicone is easy to work with, highly flexible, and nearly shrink-free, ensuring precise and durable results. It offers excellent weather resistance, withstands temperatures from -60°C to 250°C, and maintains strong tear and tensile strength. The silicone is also environmentally friendly, odorless, and non-toxic.

The silicone is naturally transparent but can be coloured using Silicone Pigments.

Mixing ratio: 1:1 (Component A + Component B)
Total volume: 2 kg = approx. 1.6 L casting material
Pot life: 20-30 minutes at 25°C
Curing time: 4-5 hours at 25°C

Only mix the quantity needed for your specific project. Once combined, the silicone begins curing and cannot be reused later. Always wear gloves when handling silicone, as it is sticky and difficult to remove.

Storage & Shelf Life:

Shelf life: 12 months
Optimal storage temperature: 5°C - 10°C
Can be stored at higher temperatures, but not recommended above 25°C

Recommended Use:

For body casting, use alginate as a molding material before pouring Body Silicone.

Important:

When casting silicone into an existing silicone mold, always apply a release agent on the cured silicone surface to prevent bonding (vulcanization) between the two silicone layers.
