This high-grade copper primer is the ideal refill for your copper patination system. Formulated for precision work, it creates a reactive metallic base that facilitates authentic oxidation and weathering effects on studio models and exhibits.

Technical Application & Curing:

Application: Apply an even layer using a professional-grade brush.
Drying Time: The primer requires 60–80 minutes to dry before an oxidation medium can be applied.
Oxidation Window: For optimal results, the oxidation medium should be applied within 8 days of priming. The chemical oxidation process will develop fully over the subsequent 8 hours.
Surface Preparation: Adhesion varies by substrate. For non-porous or smooth surfaces such as glass, metal, and plastic, a preliminary coat of Universal Primer is required to ensure a stable bond.
