Zapon Lacquer – Metal Protection

Price from EUR 7,90

Professional metal objects, including iron, zinc, pewter, silver, and specifically bronzed elements made of copper, bronze, or brass-plated iron, require high-performance protection against atmospheric degradation. Zapon lacquer provides a durable, ultra-thin barrier that enhances resistance to moisture and environmental exposure.

Technical Application & Finishing:

Oxidation Stop: This lacquer serves as the critical fourth step in patination processes. Apply Zapon once the desired oxidation effect is achieved to effectively terminate the chemical reaction and lock in the aesthetic.
Curing: Formulated for rapid hardening, ensuring a fast studio turnaround.
Visual Enhancement: Application of Zapon lacquer will slightly darken the substrate, significantly enhancing the depth and clarity of copper tones for a premium industrial finish.
Alternative Finish: For projects where a lighter, more matte appearance must be preserved, we recommend using Colour Fix™ as an alternative sealant.

Maintenance:

Tool Cleaning: Clean brushes immediately after use with methylated spirits, followed by a secondary rinse with warm water and soap.
